Would you believe it if I told you that Kyley and Troy planned their perfect Peoria wedding day in 4 months? We started off at Café Santa Rosa for photos, Kyley and Troy chose it for its warm, cozy wood-paneled cocktail bar. It had such a dreamy and nostalgic feel, and I was completely in love with their vision for their day.

Their Intimate Wedding Ceremony in Peoria, IL

After we finished up portraits we walked outside to be greeted with a caravan of loved ones ready to drop us off at their scenic ceremony spot. If you’re local to the Peoria, IL, you’re probably familiar with it. A scenic road with a beautiful view of the Illinois River, complete with a pull-off to take it all in. 🍂🍁

There’s no parking along this long rode overlooking where Kyley and Troy planned to get married, so the loved ones coordinated to drop us off, and then not even attend the ceremony, which is incredibly SO sweet.

Knowing they wanted vintage touches all throughout their wedding day, Troy made this massive velvet covered heart to be the backdrop of their ceremony. This was perfect. Kyley never wanted to walk down the aisle. Instead she held hands with Troy as they walked down the hill together.

With under 20 loved ones people present, Kyley + Troy said “I do.” They tied the knot overlooking Peoria, and just as we finished family photos, the rain began to roll in. Honestly, it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.

Their Wedding Reception at Café Santa Rosa

When we arrived at Café Santa Rosa, 50+ guests were waiting to celebrate! While they wanted an intimate ceremony, tit was important to them to celebrate with all of their friends and family. By the time they arrived to their Peoria wedding reception, guests were already mingling and sipping on tiki cocktails (K+T’s favorite).

They enjoyed a first dance together before heading out to the food truck outside the Café to enjoy some AMAZING food before heading back in to celebrate the rest of the night.

I feel so lucky that so many creative and cool couples trust me to document their wedding day the way they hope to see it. K + T’s wedding day was filled with so many unique aspects that felt so personal to them. I loved being a part of their amazing day.
