Top 5 Intimate Wedding Venues in Springfield, IL

Springfield, Illinois is such a unique city, filled with amazing communities, small businesses, and SO much history.

With that history comes so many amazing and beautiful buildings throughout the city. Over the years there are a number of wedding vendors that have made their home in many of these buildings. This has resulted in so many cool and unique wedding venues throughout Springfield.

Though there might be a little bias with me being a wedding photographer, these Springfield wedding venues have become some of my favorite parts of town. Though there are a TON of amazing intimate wedding venues scattered throughout Springfield, Illinois, I was able to narrow down a list of my five favorites for us to check out today!

My Top 5 Intimate Wedding Venues in Springfield, IL

Venue 1929

This historic, private event venue in Springfield, Illinois is known for its beautiful exposed wood beams and intimately styled space. 

The venue has a 150 person max capacity, and with a centralized location in downtown Springfield, things couldn’t be simpler for you and your guests to enjoy your time in Springfield! The venue’s centralized location makes it easy for your guests to find a place to stay, and explore the downtown as well. This lets them make an entire weekend of your intimate wedding date if they’d like!

Venue 1929 is a blank slate, making it a great option for couples looking to really make the space their own with their own style of décor for their wedding day.

Arlington’s

This classic and historic wedding venue in Springfield, Illinois is a fairly popular intimate venue located on the northside of downtown. The top floor can hold up to 140 seated guests, and for more intimate events their bottom floor venue can hold up to 70 seated guests.

The building itself was built in 1917, and though recently renovated, the historic look and feel of the building remain intact and on full display. This combination of modern amenities with a classic feel created a wedding venue that is one of a kind in Springfield, and with its different options for different sized weddings, it’s the perfect space for your intimate wedding day.

Washington Park Gazebo

For couples looking for an outdoor venue in Springfield, Illinois to celebrate their intimate wedding, look no further than the Washington Park Gazebo! Allow the gorgeous natural beauty of Washington Park to handle the heavy lifting of your wedding day, as the need for additional décor here is practically non-existent. Instead you can enjoy your day, whether it be just your ceremony or a reception as well, and focus on what’s most important, the love between you two!

Our next intimate wedding venue is found in the heart of Springfield, Illinois, the historic and iconic Pasfield House! The indoor event space at The Pasfield House can host up to 60 seated guests, while the outdoor space can host up to 200 guests.

The Pasfield House offers plenty of incredible portrait opportunities for your day, such as the classy indoor library and the beautiful outdoor courtyard. The venue also features a ton of included amenities such as onsite getting ready spaces, in house catering and alcohol, set up and tear down assistance, and MUCH more.

The Pasfield House is also a boutique hotel, meaning you and your guests can stay the night in one of their charming rooms! The Pasfield house’s multiple spaces, gorgeous backdrops, and variety of amenities make it a venue that’s hard to pass up for your intimate wedding day in Springfield!

The Wakery

Last, but certainly not least, is The Wakery! This intimate event space in the heart of Springfield, Illinois makes for an incredible wedding venue for a number of reasons. For starters, The Wakery has an impeccable style thanks in part to the vintage furniture, excellent color palette, and abundance of natural light in the space.

The Wakery is a non-alcoholic bar that excels in crafting incredible N/A cocktails, and they can even create an original signature N/A drink for your wedding day! With space for up to 40 guests, freedom with your choice of catering, and freedom to bring in additional décor as you see fit, there is SO much to love about The Wakery!
