After legally getting married in Colorado in August, Jac & Saif hosted friends anf family from around the world in the Pasfield House in October. The two put on their finishing touches at the beautiful historic wedding venue and hotel before meeting each other at the alter. Jac actually wore a different dress at her elopement in Colorado earlier in the year, so it was especially exciting getting ready and sharing another first look the morning of their Illinois ceremony.
Their Wedding at the Pasfield House
Prior to their ceremony Jac, Saif and I took some time exploring the beautiful venue. They chose blush and cream florals that complimented the decor throughout the house perfectly. We loved squeezing in a few more portraits in their new looks at their second wedding venue.
They wanted their second celebration to be family-focussed, so there were details woven throughout their wedding day honoring different members of their family. This was the perfect way to celebrate their newly merged families.
In honor of Jac’s mom, Teri, there was a stained glass butterfly on the arbor. For Good was also performed by a violist.
Saif’s father, Zaid read a prayer from the Quran.
Jac & Saif reread the vows they exchanged in the mountains. This time surrounded by a small audience of family members and loved ones.
Their Central Illinois Wedding Reception
After their intimate ceremony we moved inside for tea time & cocktail hour. More guests arrived for appetizers and a drink of their choice. Jac carried around her favorite water bottle at the venue that said Nature is Home which felt so fitting for her. Friends & loved ones caught up with each other before settling down for dinner.
The Pasfield house being a very intimate venue, creates a uniquely cozy atmosphere during dinner and toasts. Guests gathered around the dining space, some standing, some sitting, making the experience feel more like an intimate dinner party. Willie kicked off dinner with a toast—speaking from doorway of the Gilded Room, so folks outside & inside could hear.
Their Intimate Evening
There were guests seated both outside and inside for dinner, but as the events of the evening continued, more guests gathered indoors. Jac & Saif cut their cake literally surrounded by their family and friends in the entryway of The Pasfield House. After dinner, the Gilded Room was cleared for more toasts, first dances, and party dancing. Guests bopped in & out of the various rooms in The Pasfield House, or hung out on the covered porch to hide from the rain.
The Pasfield House was overflowing with people & love that day. Cheesy, but it’s true. Saif’s family was in the states from Jordan, Jac’s friends from around the country came in, and we all were there to celebrate them. Because when meet Jac & Saif you are immediately smitten by them.
Jac and Saif have one more wedding celebration with Saif’s family in Jordan, and I am so happy for them! I loved being a part of their first two celebrations and I know that this last one is going to be a PARTY.

I'm Rachael (she/her) by the way.
I'll give you direction when you need it and space when you don't. I believe the best photos aren't always the ones where everyone is looking at the camera.
Sometimes they're the ones where your best friend is crying. Your grandma is laughing. Your partner is looking at you when you aren't paying attention. And someone is absolutely losing their mind on the dance floor.
Those are the photos I want to make.
Whether you have 10 or 100 folks witnessing your vows, are planning the big shebang or a small backyard party, or just want to celebrate getting through life with your best friend—I'd be thrilled to document it for you.
