Illinois Airbnb Wedding at Three Pines Petersburg | Seth + Kelly

Seth + Kelly’s intimate Airbnb wedding day at Three Pines in Petersburg Illinois was a DREAM.  This charming little Airbnb made the perfect backdrop for Seth + Kelly’s wedding day surrounded by all their family and friends. I’m so obsessed with these two and their intimate wedding day, and to top off my obsession, I am even more obsessed with the kind words they left me in their review.

A Bit About the Couple

Seth + Kelly met online on Tinder specifically.  Due to Kelly’s crazy schedule though, it took the two of them a while to meet up.  Seth was persistent though, and kept offering up dates for Kelly, froyo, coffee, dinner, etc, until finally she agreed to go out with Seth, and the rest is history!  They have gone through a handful of moves, residencies and finding their beautiful little dream home in Missouri.  These days they spend their free time at wineries, breweries, cidaries, and hanging at home watching all of their favorite tv shows/playing switch/playing board games.

Three Pines Petersburg

This unique and historic mansion turned Airbnb up on top of a hill in historic Petersburg Illinois was the perfect space for Seth + Kelly to have their wedding day celebrations.  The mansion can house up to twenty people and has an additional barn and tent set up that makes for the perfect reception space.  Seth + Kelly decorated the space with rustic elements along with a ton of beautiful glassware that was either thrifted by Kelly or made by her dad.

Getting Ready in their Airbnb Wedding Venue

The Three Pines Petersburg in Petersburg Illinois is an amazing venue for many reasons. One of the biggest reasons is that there is PLENTY of space for you and your wedding party to get ready on the day of. Each of the rooms is decked out with beautiful ornate details, and plenty of natural window light coming from the massive windows. We took advantage of the historic rooms for their wedding party portraits prior to their first look and got creative with all of the unique details that make up the space.

Their Wedding Day

When putting together their Illinois Airbnb wedding day timeline, Seth + Kelly wanted a moment alone before their ceremony to get the jitters out, and read vows to each other, so we did just that.  Before their ceremony, we found a spot on the grounds of Three Pines Petersburg and had Seth wait for Kelly.  They saw each other for the first time on their wedding day, they shared their vows, and there were quite a few tears shed.

They had their wedding ceremony up on the hill outside of the Three Pines Petersburg Airbnb under the blue Illinois skies.  Their ceremony and reception spaces were filled with details they had put together with their families, which just made it all the more special.  After their ceremony, their family photos and some wedding party photos, we snuck away one more time so that they could have a moment alone as newly weds.  We explored the Three Pines Petersburg Mansion, took some newly wed portraits, and soaked in everything they had experienced in the day so far before heading out to their reception!

Their Reception

Their wedding day was on a chilly October day, so once the sun set, everyone huddled inside the tent filled with heaters and wrapped themselves up in scarves and blankets.  Everyone enjoyed the coziness in the tent and celebrated with some great food and speeches from Seth + Kelly’s favorite people before making their way to the barn. Once inside the barn, it was time for the newlyweds and their guests to dance the night away. Seth + Kelly’s Airbnb wedding at the Three Pines in Petersburg Illinois was everything they dreamed it would be and I’m so glad to have been a part of it!
